Mantua Real Estate

Mantua, a beautiful residential community within Fairfax County, was developed between the 1950s and 1980s. Homes here range from modern to traditional, and strive to offer something for everyone's taste and budget.

Located just 15 miles outside of Washington, DC, Mantua is one of the region's more expensive neighborhoods and home to some of the nation's most highly educated and affluent citizens. The median resident age here is 44 years, and the medium household income is close to $100,000. The average home sells for about $533,000. Although some homes go for as high as a million, the region offers a wide variety of housing, from moderately sized single family condos to large houses.

In close distance to peaceful, low-crime Mantua are vast shopping opportunities at Tysons Corner and the Fair Oaks mall, various top-notch restaurants, and the cultural and historic gems of nearby Virginian battle grounds dating back to the Civil War, and Washington DC's museums and monuments.

Local students enrolled in K-12 attend prestigious schools within the Fairfax County Public School System. A favorable teacher to student ratio and small classroom size here produce students who are among the best performers on national standardized tests, and who go on the college after graduating from high school. Higher education is easily accessible at the nearby George Mason University, Georgetown University, George Washington University, or University of Maryland.

Mantua's 7,500 residents enjoy a host of community activities. There is an active Citizens' Association that hosts events for kids and parents year around. An equally active Swim & Tennis Club often runs parades and picnics. The neighborhood is one that cares for its community spirit and nurtures it as best as possible.

Mantua aims to please each of its residents. Nature lovers have access to miles of parkland for hiking, biking, picnicking, and other nature enjoyments. Music and theatre lovers are close to the Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center, the nation's only national park for the performing arts, and the George Mason University center, which attracts world renowned classical music performers as well as pop stars.
