Cloverly Real Estate

Cloverly, Maryland, is a culturally diverse community of about 8,000 residents living on 10 square miles within the larger Silver Spring area. Conveniently located just a 20 minute drive away from the nation's capital, Cloverly is a suburb popular among families with children, some college students, and singles that commute to and from work and university in Washington or Northern Virginia.

An affluent region, the average Cloverly household has an income of about $96,000, which is more than double the national average household income. The area enjoys a very low crime rate, and a quiet, friendly atmosphere.

Most real estate here was built during the 1980s and is comprised of single-family properties of three or four bedrooms. Older, historic, and some newer developments are also available. Styles range from ramblers and colonial structures to cul-de-sacs and modern split level town-homes. Because of the wide variety of home types and sizes, prices can go as low as $309,000 and go as high as $2.7 million. In January 2006, the average single family home or condo sold for $752,056, and has a fairly high appreciation rate.

Cloverly residents can send their children to excellent K-12 schools part of the Montgomery County Public School System, which is ranked as one of the best in the country. Students here get much special attention from their teachers and class sizes are relatively small compared to the average American community. Cloverly students tend to score high on national standardized tests, and many of them pursue college degrees upon graduation.

Cloverly residents enjoy a wonderful selection of cultural activities in downtown Silver Spring, including exquisite cuisine ranging from Mexican to Pakistani. The area has about 150 eateries, and is known for its excellent Indian and Chinese restaurants. Shopping, cinemas, and parks are readily available.
